Airways Optical is part of the European Manufacturing & Distribution estate and global supply chain of Specsavers, the market leading Optical and Hearcare provider in the UK, Australia & NZ and the Nordic markets. Airways Optical has played a pivotal role supporting Specsavers growth and success over the last 20 years continuing to deliver exceptional levels of quality and service to enable Specsavers brand to be seen as the customer centric organisation that it is today.

With significant technological change driving the manufacturing process, and investment in the latest CNC milling and polishing, scratch resistance and anti-reflective coatings, the process has transformed over the years. This has required the continued investment in the development of our people and processes to deliver the increasing demands of our customers.

Employing more than 200 people from our 30,000ft2 site in Eastleigh we process over 2m orders each year for the 900 Specsavers stores in the UK. 

The vision for the business is one that puts our key stakeholders, our customers, and employees at the heart of everything we do and through these a culture of continuous improvement.

The future looks bright at Airways Optical. With new markets for Specsavers on the horizons and continued expansion in existing,  challenges and opportunities for our people to continue to grow and realise their full aspirations and potential are assured.
